    Default AC loop

For those who ride and or are familiar with the Armstrong Creek loop and trails that head into Marinette county:

Where the 100M peels off to the north on the north side of Peshtigo River (bridge), is that intersection #145? I was in that vicinity the other day and instead of turning left (northbound, from the south/Wabeno side) I went straight, thinking it was that intersection. Then where I expected to see 144 or maybe 143, I was at 147 instead! Whaaaatt??? Maybe I should have a local show me the ropes over thattaway sometime. I've been through there a number of times and have ridden that AC loop dozens of times over the years, but unless you do it frequently it's easy to get it all jumbled up in your head.

On the Forest County map, I think it's where corridor 16 continues east after the 100M heads north. Maybe?

I rarely look at crossing numbers but when changing counties and trail systems, do the intersection numbers stay consistent? not sure how or why they would.
you changed counties and trail systems when you went straight ahead there on what I think is called Goodman Park Rd.

I believe you are talking about INT 37. It could be that the sign(s) along the road are covered by snow banks. I happened to notice that problem going the other way (South) from INT 37 on the 100 Miler. The arrow was covered up, and to make matters worse, there was no blazer on the back of the stop sign that leads toward the old Christmas Tree Inn (off of Goodman Park Rd.). But I fixed that problem. We'll have to check and make sure that's not the same issue there. Thanks. (Note: Benson Lake Rd and Goodman Park Rd are the same road, it just depends on which side of the county line you are on)

    Thx for the replies, fellers.

I should have clarified a little more. On the Forest county map, I "think" I'm referring to INT 37 as Jim mentioned above. I guess what I'm questioning is whether FC#37 is the same as MC#145? I guess I know for sure that I continued eastbound at what would be FC#37.... and it goes for quite a ways before the next obvious intersection. And then I know I also for sure took a left off that route onto an obvious groomed trail... I bet THAT was MC#145 which would explain why I threw my hands up in frustration when I got to MC#147. When I took a right at 147, the trail then goes along an open area along some power lines which was quite scenic and I know I've been on that stretch before.
Adding to the confusion is the issue that on the FC map, INT37 appears to actually be inside Marinette county instead of Forest?

I also concur with Jim's statement that some of the signage is difficult to see this year due to snow depth (if only we could have that "problem" every year, right fellas?). My best bet is probably to retrace my steps and pause/make note of the intersection numbers at each of the locations in question.

Looks like we're in for some rather threatening weather this coming week and beyond.

FC#37 and MC#145 are two different intersections, both will get you to AC,but if you go north on MC#145 you'll have to go through goodman first

All of the above information was correct and accurate. I retraced my route (in reverse) from the previous week and figured out where I went "wrong" the first time. It seems I turned north at MC145 the first week and did an "unnecessary" loop to the north before heading south again. Fortunately, I encountered unridden trail on a highly visible day the first time. Yesterday: it was roughed all the stink up due to weekend warriors.
I'll also say this: I think the postings and signage on the 100M, LMT, RedArrow, PaulBunyan etc are far better than most of the other surrounding areas.
I'll doublealso say this: those same 4 clubs mentioned have consistently had some of the best riding trails year in and year out. From all of us who enjoy the results of your efforts, thank you so much.
I made it up 5 weeks in a row and elapsed just over 1100 miles for the season, most of which was spectacular. Great season, guys!

You are correct about the 4 clubs mentioned having the riding trails, but I will also add Chute Pond to the list.
When I came from the north and got to the intersection 145 it was marked pretty good a few weeks ago, had an arrow to Wabeno and one to Crooked Lake. We took the trail from 143 up to 141 then to Dunbar. There was another intersection between 143 and 141 that said Crooked Lake/ Wabeno going to the left or west. I am thinking that it must be right around Benson Lake rd east of Tower Rd. I would like to see that trail on the map as it was not on the Polaris app.
