Oneida County trails open for the season at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday

via WJFW:
RHINELANDER - Snowmobilers looking to ride in Oneida County can finally hit the trails Tuesday night.

Oneida County trails open for the season at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Plenty of snow in November had people dreaming of an early open.

A warm stretch melted down much of the snow, and delayed the trail opening for Oneida County.

There are some trail segments that will stay closed for now, so check with local snowmobile clubs if you're not sure.

The closed segments include Minocqua Forest Riders Trail 5 in between trail 10 & trail 5A, Minocqua Forest Riders Trail 10 in between trail 9 & trail 10A, Three Lakes Trail 13 in between trail 217 & Alternate 13 trail, and Willow Region Trail 5 in between trail 5b to the Lincoln County Line.

Those trails will be marked as closed until conditions permit.

Riders are urged to stay on marked trails, and be careful.

Trails may be in rough, early season condition.
